And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near

Guidance

Shaikh Navaid Aziz, in his course, The  Light of Guidance, said something very profound. He said that having Iman (faith) leads to attaining guidance from Allah. And we ask for this 17 times a day in our salat when we say "Guide us to the Straight Path" (1:6), we know that Allah responds to us (along with all the other ayat). But not many of us realize that He responds to our supplication before we even make it by guiding us to make that supplication in the first place.

Supplication of the Muslim

Allah says:

And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided. (2:186)

This is one of the most beautiful places out of all the places Allah asks the Muslims to make dua to Him.
